T memories. Each festival felt like a chapter in a book, filled with music, laughter, and dancing. It also brought spine-tingling moments that made us pause and take it all in.
Spring Festival
Do you remember the very first event of the season, the Spring Festival, when Nestville Park came alive with the sound of folk songs? The grounds burst with the colors of traditional costumes from nearby villages, and the energy of the folk performers drew us all into a circle of joy. Children ran across the park, parents savored traditional dishes, and the highlight — the raising of the maypole — made us all hold our breath in awe. It was a reminder that even in today’s fast-paced world, we can still come together to celebrate the beauty of traditions.

Nestville Open Fest
June belonged to Nestville Open Fest. We can still feel that electrifying moment when thousands of voices joined as one during the concerts. Laughter, singing, and the aroma of grilled specialties filled the air, blending with the sound of beloved songs. And when the fiery show began, silence fell. All eyes lifted to the sky as it turned into a blazing theatre of fire, sending shivers down our spines just like the flames that danced above us. It was a magical moment when we realized that summer was writing its own story — and we were part of it.

Wild Saddle
The first Saturday in August brought the rodeo show Wild Saddle, filling Nestville Park with the spirit of the Wild West. The sound of pounding hooves, country music, and the scent of hay filled the air. When riders performed sharp barrel turns and lassoed with such confidence that our jaws dropped, we knew we were witnessing true mastery. And when the crowd erupted in applause, it became clear that every successful maneuver was unforgettable. The rodeo riders and their fiery horses etched these moments into our hearts. We also recall the joy of children riding our ponies, their laughter carrying into the distance. That day belonged to families, friends, and everyone who believes in the magic of country spirit.

Farmer – Traditions and Customs
The festival season culminated with the Farmer’s Weekend. We laughed during the žinčica drinking contest and had fun with the bryndza eating competition. When it came time for the Nestville Bull Riding, the adrenaline in the air was almost tangible! Every fall from a raging bull made us hold our breath. Every eight-second triumph was celebrated with applause that echoed long after. At the animal exhibitions, we stopped to admire rabbits, goats, and calves — and in those moments, we realized the vital role that the work of our farmers and breeders plays in our lives.

This summer at Nestville Park was more than just a series of festivals. These were moments when we laughed together during farmer competitions and sang along with Slovak stars. We danced to country rhythms and cheered for fearless riders in the arena. Do you remember holding your breath during the fiery show and watching the daring bull riders? Or rejoicing at the raising of the maypole. Every clap, every smile, and every shared moment showed us something important. The festival season is not just about the program. It is about the people who create it and the joy we share with one another. It is also about memories that stay with us long after the last summer sun fades away.
